Padme' on Tatooine

tatooine1.jpg (100777 bytes) I decided I wanted to have an Amidala doll without the white makeup.  That way, I could make the Tatooine costume, and the battle-scene costume, both of which are worn without the concealing makeup.

Of course, there is no doll like that.

So, since I had to improvise, I decided to find another doll that looked close enough like Padme' to work.  She had to be about the same body build (traditional Barbies need not apply), with the same color hair, eyes, and skin color.

So, I did some research, and I got lucky.

Introducing: Lara, the Generation Girl.  Smaller chest size than your standard Barbie (well, she is supposed to be a young teenager), dark hair, light skin, and light brown eyes.  Smiling a bit too much, but then again, she just got this cool outfit to wear, who wouldn't smile!

Close enough as they say.  She is shown here, wearing the "farm girl" outfit that she wore while trying NOT to attract attention on Tatooine.  I've given her the amulet that Anakin gave her even though she didn't actually get it from him until they were back on the ship, because I thought it looked appropriate for her to wear with this outfit.   The amulet is made of ivory colored plastic.  The belt decoration is a button with red paint applied to the center.

The braids are made of extra doll hair, so I wouldn't have to change her's any.  I don't want her hair to be wavy when I dress her for battle!
